Meet the models from Dragonfly agency. Episode 3: Tucker Hayes
04 out, 2015
I’m glad to be here, thanks for having me. I’m 18 years old and live in Fort Worth, Texas but I’m ready to move away! I love to travel, especially places that aren’t as popular for tourism.
I haven’t really gotten a chance to travel as a model yet because I haven’t graduated from high school yet I don’t necessarily come off as an action sports kind of guy but I love to race cars, go helicopter skiing, and cliff diving.
I had always wanted to model and I decided I would actually do something about it once the majority of the baby fat had fallen off of my face, hahaha.
I sent some pictures into an agency and voila my model career had started.
My first test shoot was so much fun and I got some pretty amazing images from it. I’m actually going to be shooting with the same photographer soon so I’m really excited about that.
My favorite part of modeling is making new friends from all over the place. It’s cool to know that you can travel all over the world and know people in most major cities.
Posing to photographers
Finding things you have in common with a photographer makes shooting with them so much more smooth and enjoyable, especially when you’re shooting for a long period of time. It’s great to have stuff to talk about.
I don’t have any specific rituals before posing for a photographer and i try not to think about it too much or else you’ll get a lot of images that look too forced and posey.
I don’t have any crazy behind the scenes stories yet, but a friend and I were shooting with a photographer for fun in LA and some paparazzi started taking pictures of us doing the shoot which was interesting.
The runway shows
Because I’m pretty new I don’t have too much runway experience but I have done a few shows for Toni and Guy. While walking down the runway I try not to think at all and just do what I do naturally – walk – people who overthink it are actually more likely to trip and fall.
Male models x Female models
Females without a doubt still rule the fashion/modeling world, but I think that the male modeling world is slowly making its way up. As far as exposure goes females still win, but with the rise of social media, exposure has increased greatly for everyone in the industry, males and females.
Cara Delevingne is one of my greatest inspirations, she seems so cool and fun. Even though she is a top ranking model she still receives tons of criticism which helps remind me that no one is perfect.
From what I know, the market for AA models in the U.S. is pretty good, Tyson Beckford was actually the first male model that I had ever heard of.
Tucker´s style: a fashionista?
I would consider myself a “fashinisto” where I live because I’m really one of the only people out of my group of guy friends that really cares about fashion.
I’ll wear anything that I think looks good on me it can be designer or something that I find at a thrift store!
My style is cool and clean, I like to wear a lot of black, white, and sometimes blue.
Imagine u famous model surrounded by a huge crowd!
I wouldn’t try to hide my face from the crowd or run away, I would make sure that I looked pretty for any pictures that people were taking of me haha.
On show biz
I think show business is great! I would love to get into it eventually whether it be acting, directing, producing, etc…
Dating X Loving: My love life has been pretty dry, good thing there are tons of pretty faces in the modeling industry to choose from!
Sports: I’ve played tons of sports growing up because I could never stick to one. I would always get bored after a couple of years and move onto the next. I used to be a gymnast until I got too tall and lanky, I played club soccer for 3 years, and ran track in the junior olympics twice, but tennis was always one of my favorites.
Superpowers and Superheroes
If I could have any superpower, it would be the ability to control time because the possibilities are endless. You could undo any mistakes you ever made, if you were in public with someone you didn’t like you could pause time and take off their clothes to embarrass them (unless they are a hot model that wouldn’t care), and you could fast forward the bullshit!
Black Widow is my favorite superhero. Even though she doesn’t really have any powers she is super duper fierce and I dig that.
Atracting someone´s attention
I’ve figured out that the easiest way to get someone’s attention is my dancing, no matter where you are. Always make sure you have a few go to moves.
Having fun, enjoying life
One of my favorite things to do for fun is to go to music festivals. Coachella is so much fun and now that I’m old enough I really want to go to Tomorrowland in Belgium. I believe that the best way to live life is to take every opportunity you get because you never know what you might miss out on.
I also like to remind myself that even though something might be stressful or difficult that I’ll be in an even better situation than before as a result.
Craziest thing you´ve ever done in a summer time season
If you want to know the craziest things I’ve done over the summer, you’ll have to ask me that in person!
Fav body part and why
My favorite body part is the clavicle, just because it’s fun to say. lol. Some people actually find it sexy!?
Fav underwear for daily activities and for those coooool sexy moments (lol!)
I’ll wear any plain briefs for day to day activities. I like to think that I can make any underwear sexy, but honestly if they’re going to come off does it really matter? :)
Music and Food
I have too many favorite artists to choose just one. My taste in music is really eclectic but it’s usually stuff that my parents hate. Future, Die Antwoord, Skrillex, Disclosure, Major Lazer, A$ap rocky, and Rae sremmurd are several of my favorites.
I love sushi, thai food, and if you come here I can take you to some great Tex-Mex restaurants that will change your life.
I’ve learned to stop caring about what people think so I don’t really have any guilty pleasures, I’m pretty much an open book.
Earliest childhood memory
One of my earliest memories is learning how to swim when I was like 3, and the only reason why I remember is because it felt like I was being tortured.
Yourself in 10 years
I have no idea where I’ll end up in 10 years, I might still be modeling or acting, who knows, I could end up stranded on a desert island. Your fav booking so far and why
If you weren´t a model you´d be…
If I would probably go to college straight after high school and have a more boring life.
Hopefully I’ll get to go to Milan for fashion week. It would be my first major career endeavor and I have a couple of friends going that I haven’t been able to see in a really long time.
And when you´ll come to my world?
I’ve always wanted to go to Brazil, so hopefully soon. I’ll have to brush up on my Portuguese!
