Martin Migschitz and an unforgettable moment: “Being 90 days in the modelbusiness and walking the first show in front of 50.000 people for Dsquared at the Vienna Life ball”
09 jan, 2013
Hello, I am Martin Migschitz, I was born in Vienna, Austria, but I grew up in Mannersdorf, quite a small town 40 mins away from Vienna.
Well, first of all you should know that sport plays such an important role in my life. I would say that sport is my drug haha that is why I am studying science of sport in the University of Vienna.
How did all begin: The big model contest in Vienna
Some friends always told me to get into the fashion scene, to try it as a professional model but I never thought about it but things changed after even my girlfriend told me to participate at this big model contest here in Vienna. (Michael Gstoettner was discovered there as well) and I won it in the age of 21. The first big shooting was two days later for the “Madonna Magazine” cover. I would say the best thing about modeling is that it opens your mind for everything, there is nothing comparable like that in any other job.
Working with photographers: full of energy and motivation
I love to work with photographers who are full of energy and motivation to get the best possible result, because I am like that. I like professionalism, and the more people watching the shooting the better. Sorry guys, I don’t have a special preparation before posing to a photographer
My first big shooting was completely naked, and loaded with women – so I would not say that I am feeling “that” uncomfortable I prefer to keep my stories between ourselves ;))
The catwalks experiences
The biggest one was Dsquared at the Vienna Lifeball 2011, followed by Benetton & Javier Arnaiz in Milano and Diesel & Jil Sander and recently Vienna Fashion Week 2013 Spring/Summer,
Male Models x Female models
The female models still own this business, some of them are just too beautiful. Male models still don’t have the same attention as we see with female models – but hey, in so many other job it’s the way around .. ;).I think nowadays the exposure of male models is getting bigger and bigger *fingers crossed*
It depends whether or not I like to be a fashionista in this special day. But usually I am in love with my tanktop and flip flop.
Imagine u a famous model surrounded by a huge crowd!
I would enjoy it and give them the respect they deserve, who would not?!

Nothing special, I would go for a drink and see what happens ..
Nearly every sort of sport, specially athletic sports, swimming, soccer and volleyball.
Attracting someone´s attention
The combination of eye contact and smiling is still the best way to attract attention.
Having fun, enjoying life
First of all, you should always have fun, no matter in what situation you’re in, it is about your attitude to your life – don’t take it too seriously.
Nevertheless, there’s nothing better than a cold Radler, some grilled food and house music (famous mixture of beer and lemonade) with friends after destroying your body with sport.
Craziest thing in a summer time season
I Woke up with a deep scar and had no clue how the hell i got it? Still don’t know it ..
