Loammi: “A photographer might ask you to climb up a rope or have your face splashed with paint,or have you dance and be goofy on set. That’s what keeps it interesting and fun”.

My name is Loammi, I was born and raised in Belgium. I currently live in Antwerp which is a very cool and vibrant city with lots of old buildings and young people destroying them:)

It’s symbol is a hand so my hometown is famous for Belgian chocolate hands and cookies. Personal interests I would say sports, good food watching series like The big bang theory or Family guy, drawing

How did all begin

I was scouted on facebook about two years ago now. I decided to go for it because I did have the intention to travel a lot and discover the world and it seemed like a great way to do it.

My first testshoot, I remember being extremely nervous, it ended up being a very cool experience and a fun day in the end.

Working with photographers: climbing up a rope, face splashed with paint…

I like when a photographer has the time to give you an idea of what he wants and tells a story. Especially if its more of an art shoot I love getting a story up front of what he or she has in mind.

There’s a lot of unusual things that happen on shoots, those are usually the most fun to do. A photographer might ask you to climb up a rope or have your face splashed with paint,or have you dance and be goofy on set. That’s what keeps it interesting and fun.

Women still rule this business

I think female fashion stills dominates over male fashion. Even tho male models do get more exposure these days, most male models and a lot of the female models still stay virtually nameless to people on the street.

Favorite male model I would have to say Mathias Lauridsen, female probably Rosie Huntington Whiteley.

The catwalks

A runway on broken glass in Tokio, that was pretty special. Backstage at shows is usually a lot of stress but in the end you feel such a relief and everyone usually smiles. I’ve worked for DKNY, Daniele Allesandrini, Wooyoungmi, Thom browne…

A fashionista?

Not at all. I like to wear jeans and tshirts most of the time although wearing a suit at a party can make anyone feel great.

Imagine u a famous model surrounded by a huge crowd!

I would probably keep going, just smile, be friendly.

Show biz, fame, success, most important things for his life….

I think show business is a very challenging world on it´s own, fame and success should always come from hard work that pays off.

The 5 most important things for me would be

Good Food

Dating X Love

Honest and intimate

Very focussed and straight to the point. I like sports that are explosive and count on reflexes. Tennis, for example, is a sport I’ve always loved.

Atracting someone´s attention and enjoying life

Not trying to attract attention usually attracts the most interesting people. I like to go to parks, Either alone and with a sketchbook or with good friends. I like going to the movies or sitting at home with a glass of wine with my housemates.

The craziest (nastiest?) thing he´s ever done in a summer time season

Going to a nude beach with my family.{AWKWARD}

Fav body part and why

Abdomen, because its naturally toned

Fav underwear for daily activities and for those coooool sexy moments (lol!)

Calvin Klein or DIM

In his IPOD

Adele, Lots of different music, either relaxing or very energetic.

Fav food

Tagliatelli with brocolli and salmon in cream sauce

If  you weren´t a model, u´d be…

A nutrition coach

The projects

I just shot with Steven Meisel in New York for Vogue Italia, shot for Vogue Japan, WWD . Later this year I will probably go back to New York and just keep travelling round the worl I hope :).

An unforgettable moment

My first time arriving to New York over the Manhattan bridge.
