Jesus Luz: “I love the fact that Madonna introduced me to this life. And it’s a honor to have some of her fans following and supporting me. She is one of my biggest friends now”

You can find Jesus Luz in social networks, blogs, fan clubs, in the media and also in Rio de Janeiro, Florianópolis, Salvador, Dusseldorf, Barcelona, Paris, just to name a few places where he´s been working as a professional DJ and model with a very impressive tour date around the world. Despite his busy agenda, I interviewed the “carioca” Jesus some months ago and I decided to publish this first part interview in my first edition of the year.
My special thanks to his agent Ludgero Sousa (you rock dude!) and now I´m sharing it with all my World of Models family.
Ed, the brazilian editor
Hello World of Models family! Thanks so much for this interview. It’s a pleasure to share my life and my work with you guys.
I was born in Rio de Janeiro, I’m a very simple guy that njoy sports (Surfing, mountain climbing, wake board), work out on the beach and Nature.
I’ve been connecting to music since I was a child. I do everything listening music and now that I’m a professional Dj I feel like living a dream.
The first international job with Madonna
All my friends and family supported me to become a model. I started 5 years ago studying theater and working as a model to pay my course.
My first international job was with Madonna and photographer Steven klein for W magazine, that job opened many doors for me.
I love the fact that Madonna introduced me to this life. And it’s a honor to have some of her fans following and supporting me. She is one of my biggest friends now.
The fashion world is very interesting for me, because of the beauty, the glamour and how it works so good for my career as a professional DJ
Working in the most different fashion markets, photographers and catwalks
I think the culture of the place that I’m working with makes a lot of influence on the results. It’s not a rule, but, for example, the asian people works very hard and fast, they are my favorite to work with.
But for a male model it’s not easy anywhere. I’ve been doing good jobs in Brazil as a model, but I think that my story and my career as a professional DJ have a great influence in my success as a male model.
Concerning the photographers, I enjoy working with creative and fast photographers. I like to be very relaxed before a shooting.
One day I was inside a pool using underwear for a shooting. It was so cold that we had to stop like 10 times so I could run inside the building cause I was freezing!.(lol!)
Modeling X DJ: the following years
For me, the music world walks along with the fashion world, so I want keep working with both and maybe start acting in the future.
Next, Jesus talks about show business, his DF career, love, crazy things and much more. Stay tuned folks!
To be continued…
